To make £10,000 per month you will need:

5,000 people paying you £2 per month (which is simply too cheap for a newsletter!)

2,000 people paying you £5 per month.

1,000 people paying you £10 per month.

500 people paying you £20 per month.

Newsletters do not need to be that hard to create.

What matters is the content that you share.

If one thing in one of your newsletters helps a person to make more money or master something which makes their life easier or they can do something faster… it is worth at least £97 a year to them.

£97 a year comes to £8.08 a month.

I recommend that you price your newsletter around £10 per month which will give you £120 per year per subscriber. 

£120 a year is a decent amount for a news letter that is published once or twice a month.

Obviously, you need to deliver decent content that helps people… however, don’t forget, people will happily pay for stuff they enjoy as seen in the Seanan McGuire example in the video.

She currently has 3,511 subscribers and is earning around £9,377 – I am not sure whether that is per short story or per month.

At per month that gives her an average earning per person of £2.67 which is brilliant for a couple of short stories.

If that is per short story, then each of her paying subscribers are worth on average £5.34 each month which is fantastic for publishing ridiculously short stories… and they are ridiculosuly short!
